In 1919 the world of cooking was forever changed due to the KitchenAid Company coming on the scene. This was when they patented the world's first stand alone mixer. Their original mixer design made it possible for cooks in the kitchen to speed up their process and get a smooth or choppy blend in just a few seconds. The mixers that were being made by KitchenAid in 1919 are very much like the mixers that they are making now; they are a high quality, sturdy, reliable, and unique. This is why the KitchenAid name is so well known all across the world.
KitchenAid knew that they had come up with something revolutionary and for many years this was all that they did. Stand alone mixers were the bread and butter of the company. Each of these mixers came with a wide assortment of attachments that allowed for home users to create many different meals and foods.
It was much later in the company's history that they started to branch out into other areas of kitchen appliances, and with each expansion they continued to prove that they are leaders in their field and experts in appliances.
It wasn't until 1946 that the KitchenAid name was attached to something other than mixers. This was the year that the company released their first line of washing machines. KD-10 was the number of their first dishwasher and it was unique in the fact that it was the first on the market to use pressurized water. It was truly a unit that could clean the dishes and not just disinfect them.
The company continued to grow and develop with just these two product lines until 1955 when they purchased the Chambers Range Company. This brought the KitchenAid name into a new realm of appliances: cooking stoves.
From that point, the company worked hard to stay unique and innovative. One way they did this was by creating a line of specialty, colorful mixers. With colors like Petal Pink, Sunshine Yellow, and Jungle Green, the company had forever changed the way people looked at kitchen appliances. Since that original release of specialize colored appliances they have continue down this road. Now you can find all KitchenAid products in a wide variety of modern colors.
In the 1980's KitchenAid took on the world of refrigerators. Their sleek and innovative designs quickly proved that they had a lot of offer in any area that they wanted to be involved with. Ten years later they came out with a line of blenders. All of their products are cutting edge, high quality, and beautifully designed. It is no wonder they remain one of the best brands on the market.
