Enhancements in Version 1.3.5.0
Enhancement in Version 1.3.4.1: warning displayed when new active relationship must be set to inactive.
When creating a relationship that is active in the source, BISM Normalizer will attempt to set it to active in the target. However, this may not be possible if it already uses a different active relationship to the same table.
A simple example of this is the role-playing dimension relationships to Date in AdventureWorks. OrderDate might be active in the target, while ShipDate is active in the source ? and ShipDate is then being created in the target. More complex examples occur if source/target models use different active paths ? via other tables ? to the same table.
In this scenario, BISM Normalizer will still create the new relationship, but it will be set to inactive. The relationship already in the target remains active. This avoids inadvertently affecting existing reports that get data from the target. This behavior remains the same in Version 1.3.4.1 as previous versions. The only difference is that a warning is now displayed.
